Headlines from your event

Making the News is a unique, interactive teambuilding activity where participants become journalists tasked with producing an authentic newspaper centred on the day’s conference or meeting. Working in teams, they assume the roles of reporters, photographers, and editors-in-chief to capture key moments and highlight them on their own front page. Their mission? To identify the most impactful story and present it with clarity and creativity.

Why choose Making the News?

This experience fosters creativity, communication, and teamwork. It encourages participants to explore the conference themes from a fresh perspective, transforming ideas and discussions into a tangible, visual format. Collaborating as a real editorial team, they learn to gather, organise, and craft information while adding their unique insights. Fun and dynamic, Making the News also delivers a lasting keepsake that can be displayed in the office as a memorable record of the event.

How does it work?

Each group operates as a mini editorial team: an editor-in-chief coordinates the process, journalists conduct interviews and write articles, while photographers capture pivotal moments. The team then selects the tone, design, and layout to create a compelling and distinctive newspaper front page.

At the conclusion of the workshop, newspapers are printed and shared among participants. This convivial moment offers an opportunity to explore different interpretations of the conference and extend discussions around the key takeaways. Far more than a simple summary, it is an engaging and creative way to amplify the event’s impact.

Upon request, this activity can be enhanced with interactive AI elements. This offers a unique opportunity to explore artificial intelligence in an accessible and engaging way — a topic that is becoming increasingly important within modern teams and organizations.

Making the News is the ideal solution to conclude a conference with an interactive and memorable activity. By working as a true editorial team, participants discover how to collect, structure, and present information effectively. The experience is both enriching and dynamic, leaving a lasting impression of your event.
