Travelling in classic cars, participants follow historic smuggling routes and must employ clever tactics to evade the border guards. This experience blends suspense, strategic thinking, and teamwork, demanding rapid decision-making under pressure. The activity promotes risk management as teams swiftly evaluate how best to cross the border undetected. Negotiation skills are also tested during contraband trading. The competition is fierce: which team will outwit their rivals, maximise earnings, and claim the title of master smugglers?
Teams are welcomed by a former smuggler who shares insider tips and tricks of the trade. Each team then boards a 2CV to embark on their smuggling mission. They receive a route and set off to collect goods from secret contacts. The prices of butter, gin, and cigars are fixed, but skilful negotiation may yield better deals. Once in possession of the goods, teams must cross the border discreetly and sell their merchandise on the black market.
Tension mounts as teams face strategic choices: will they take the shortest but riskier route, or opt for a longer detour to avoid patrols? These decisions demand strategic planning and effective collaboration, challenging teams to perform under pressure.
The team that manages their smuggling operation most effectively and achieves the highest profit wins. However, a surprise awaits: upon reaching the final destination, all teams are suddenly intercepted by border guards and summoned to court. Can they pay their fines and still emerge victorious?
