Building a seaworthy and visually impressive vessel under time pressure demands coordination, leadership, and strategic planning. Each team receives a construction kit with all the essential materials and a step-by-step manual. They’ll assemble the hull, structure, and oars, and decorate their ship in team colours. A custom-designed Viking crest to display on the sail adds a touch of team identity and flair.

Depending on your schedule, optional Viking-themed side challenges can be added. These allow teams to earn valuable upgrades such as larger sails or reinforced rope, enhancing both performance and competitiveness.

Once the ships are built, they undergo a thorough inspection to ensure stability and safety. Participants are equipped with life jackets, while supervisors oversee a smooth and fair competition.

Then it’s time to take to the water! Teams first test their longships before lining up for the main event: an exhilarating rowing race against the clock. But victory isn’t just about speed, awards are also given for the most creative design and the best teamwork.
