Building Blocks is an innovative team building challenge where collaboration, creativity, and strategy take centre stage. Working against the clock, teams are tasked with constructing an impressive structure between 2 and 4 metres high. But there’s a twist: the structure is made up of four distinct components, each presenting its own unique challenge. Only through clear communication and seamless teamwork can all pieces be successfully assembled into a cohesive whole.
Building Blocks is a unique challenge that combines construction, immersive technologies, and teamwork. Participants rotate through multiple tasks involving virtual and augmented reality, where they must demonstrate innovation and creativity. Success depends as much on their ability to manage time as on the clarity with which they communicate instructions to the next teams, ensuring a smooth and coordinated progression. This dynamic highlights the importance of communication, collaboration, and effective resource management, culminating in a final construction that perfectly symbolizes their collective success.
Participants are divided into teams, each responsible for building one section of a four-part totem: The base involves deciphering a colour code through augmented reality, which teams then use to reconstruct the foundation. The body must be rebuilt by following a model visible exclusively through a virtual reality headset. On the wings, teams incorporate your company’s logo with creativity and precision. Finally, the head is a creative space where each team freely expresses their imagination to craft a unique and majestic piece that crowns the structure.
Each team works on their segment for a set period, then passes the project to the next team, relying on clear briefings and instructions to maintain cohesion and continuity. This rotation method places a strong emphasis on inter-team communication and ensures every participant contributes to the overall success.
Once completed, the four elements are combined into an impressive totem: a powerful, tangible symbol of team effort and shared success. The moment is celebrated with a group reveal and photo opportunity, leaving participants with a sense of pride and unity.
